Photo shoot time for the dogs at the Newark Humane Society in New Jersey!

After 2 feet of snow and multiple storms, the weather was, yet again, destined for a blizzard.  Given my propensity for precipitation related driving disasters I was almost deterred.  But really, there was never any other option.  Bundled in the car, my gear and I set off to photograph some adoptable pets at the Newark Humane Society in New Jersey.

Penny

Lena!   Lena has the most AMAZING ears - I love them.  The photos don't even do them justice.

Maybe your Valentine's day felt a little off.  Maybe it was a little empty.  Maybe it was filled to the brim, over-flowing with love!  And yet... and yet.  Something.  Something was still missing.  Well guess what?  I know what it was.  It was missing one of these faces!

Gordo!  One of my favorites - this guy is beooootiful!

Oly
Bruce - another favorite!  How beautiful is he?
Buster!

Bo - such beautiful, pointy ears!
Nicholas
Sparticus!  Sparticus was hit by a car and only has three legs, but he doesn't let it slow him down. :)
Boon
Gordy, aka Snuggles  - who is VERY true to his name (Snuggles that is).  Not sure how this puppy hasn't been adopted yet!
Rex
Simba!  Another crazy eared pup.
Corey wants to be a model - he rocks the 'dog'walk.  :)

Jacob

Tank!!  Maybe my favorite of the day.  Absolutely true to his name, he is a short stocky TANK of a dude.  So cute!  ID# 122877
Conan!  Another aptly named pup!  If you are a strong man looking for a workout, look no further than Conan because he is as strong as his namesake!
Candy, as sweet as can be.
Angel - and doesn't she look it?  What a beauty.

To start prepping for an event next month, we had a prop change!

Leila just arrive shortly before the photo shoot as an owner surrender.  She's a senior gal with only three legs but is sweet as can be!  ID # 122905
Shannon is a little shy but still very sweet.  I mean - you'd have to be pretty chill to wear that headband thing.  :)  ID# 122809
Emerald/Emmy is a pretty lady and a super good sport.  :)  ID# 122886
Remy, ID# 122265
Diamond!  ID#122265
Melanie, ID# 121325
Clare, Id#122224

Baisley, ID#121904

PHEW, okay, now it's time to start editing some cat photos!  If you enjoyed those St Patty's day photos and would like some of your own pup, sign up for the event on March 15th!

Ms. Bailey's photo shoot - New Jersey

"Few human beings give of themselves to another as a dog gives of itself."

Ms. Bailey is a special little dog - intelligence shines in her eyes and dignity in her step.  She finds time to relax, but lets loose as well - mostly when a tennis ball is involved.  Beautiful and friendly, it was a pleasure to meet Ms. Bailey.  She's a strong little lady and isn't letting any bad news from the doc put a kink in her strut.  She exudes such a love for life, and I'm sure her family is the reason.

Thank you for being such a pleasant dog to work with, Ms. Bailey!
